Frequently asked questions

  • Can I take the course if I don’t have any previous experience on photography?

Anyone that wants to be on a professional underwater photography level can join the course, nevertheless we only accept 8 students a month to give the students the best attention, so we will give priority to people that can show a reasonable level of photography.

  • What scuba diving level do I need?

The minimum certification level to take our photography courses is Open Water Diver, but if you don’t have any previous training don’t worry, you can come 5 days earlier to take the certification with us; we offer special prices for our students.

The students also have the option to complete the Advanced Open Water and Rescue certification during the internship as weekend activities (not included on the price).

If they want to take their diving career to a professional level, there is the option to stay after the internship is finished and do the Dive Master course.

Summer clothes, comfortable shoes, flip flops, a rain jacket, swimming suits, hat, reef-friendly sunscreen, sunglasses, towel, personal laptop computer with Lightroom 6 installed and a hard drive to save your pictures.

  • When is monsoon season?

We will be there in the middle of monsoon season but Bali is such a lucky place that even in this time of year it usually only rains about an hour a day in the afternoons so it’s a good idea to bring a rain jacket in case you need to be outside at this time.

  • How much money should I bring?

Remember that during the weekend only breakfast is included so you will need to consider between 10 to 30 USD depending on where you want to eat. If you are planing to do fun dives on the weekends the price varies on where you want to go but consider around 30 USD per dive. aces on the island.

Consider that captains and dive masters depend a lot on tips, we recommend to bring extra money for that not only for the weekends but also for all the dives you do during the course if you wish to tip.
